Prof. Dr. Sadık Ersöz (General Surgeon)

Sadık Ersöz was born in Ankara in 11 March 1962. He completed his primary, middle and high school education at T.E.D.Ankara College where he graduated in 1979. Dr. Sadik Ersöz graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine in 1986 and he educated at Ankara University, Department of Medicine for his General Surgeon Specialist Training. 
He made subspecialty on Organ Transplant and Liver-Biliary Tract Surgery for 2 years at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States. He is one of the last assistants of Prof. Dr. Thomas Starzl who is the most important name in the world that performed the world’s first liver transplantation in 1963.
After his education in the United States, he continued his studies at Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine. He became Associate Professor in 1997 and  Professor in 2003. Between 2006-2009 years, Prof.Dr. Sadık Ersöz was the Chairman of the Department of General Surgery at Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Sadık Ersöz who specialized in liver, biliary tract and pancreas surgery, also has a significant role in the development of the organ transplantation and especially liver transplantation in Turkey. He has a large number of internal and international studies published on these subjects.
